Increasingly we’re witnessing attacks against our civic freedoms. A systematic undermining of the essence of humanity whereby people experience fairness, equity, dignity and justice.

This widespread rise of authoritarian practices threatens our human rights. The antidote is the activation of community voice. The power of community that has sat at the heart of so many human rights movements.

Together, we can stand and resist.

Our shared humanity is the catalyst for change. To protect our collective right to a thriving, healthy society, Amnesty International Aotearoa New Zealand is mobilising resistance.
