Amnesty International Aotearoa New Zealand have been working to ensure that our organisation complies with recent legislative changes introduced in the Incorporated Societies Act 2022 and Charities Amendment Act 2023. 
The recent legislative changes require us to reassess our current legal structure. This presents us with the opportunity to consider if an alternative legal structure could better support our human rights work.

Currently, Amnesty International Aotearoa New Zealand is registered as an Incorporated Society, a structure we have maintained since 1970.
