Join us on the cycling adventure of a lifetime to help protect human rights in Aotearoa and beyond.

Amnesty International Aotearoa New Zealand is gearing up to cycle the breathtaking Alps2Ocean track from 27 April to 2 May 2023.

From the Southern Alps to the Pacific Ocean, over six days we’ll cycle 300km across the scenic centre of the South Island, all while raising vital funds to support our human rights research, advocacy, and campaigns.

Real change takes time and resources, and we need your pedal power now more than ever to make the changes we want to see in Aotearoa New Zealand. With a fundraising target of $3,000 per rider, this is your chance to make a significant contribution to our long-term vision.

The funds raised through this adventure will go towards our ongoing work to raise the age of criminal responsibility in Aotearoa – a key change that would bring our country in line with international human rights recommendations.

Many of us learned to ride a bike as children, and by joining us on the Alps2Ocean cycle, you can help change the lives of kids across the country. Use your freedom to ride for the rights of others. Together, we can stand with humanity.
